The Development Agency «HEPIROS SA» in the framework of the project «Integrated Approaches for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage: The Route of Ancient Theatres and Sites as a Branded Destination» with the acronym i-Thea (INTERREG Greece-Albania 2014-2020), organized on Wednesday 06 April 2022 at 12:00 a.m. a participatory webinar entitled «Cultural Route to the Ancient Theatres of Epirus: The Social Footprint».
The aim of the Participatory Workshop was to inform the general public about the protection, preservation, promotion and promotion actions that have been implemented in the framework of the Cultural Route to the Ancient Theatres of Epirus or are in progress by all public or private bodies involved.
Through the presentations, the participants had the opportunity not only to get to know the five Ancient Theatres of Epirus (Dodoni, Gitano, Kassopi, Nikopolis and Amvrakia), but also to hear from specialized scientists/experts the efforts made to make the Cultural Route a branded destination, while at the same time they had the opportunity to see its impact on the local community.
Introductory interventions at the conference were made by Mr. Stratos Ioannou, Deputy Prefect of Preveza, Mr. Stavros Benos, President of the Association DIAZOMA, and Ms.. Eleni Virou, responsible for Public Relations of the Region of Epirus.
