The Development Agency «HEPIROS SA» in the framework of the project «Integrated Approaches for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage: The Route of Ancient Theatres and Sites as a Branded Destination» with the acronym i-Thea (INTERREG Greece-Albania 2014-2020), organized on Friday 21 October 2022 at 11:00 at the Du Lac Hotel, the final presentation of the project entitled: «The Cultural Route to the Ancient Theaters of Epirus through the project “i-Thea”: the final review».
The event was addressed to the general public and its aim was to present the results and deliverables of the project “i - Thea”, as well as to discuss the future prospects and possible further development of the Cultural Route to the Ancient Theatres of Epirus at European level.
Introductory interventions at the conference were made by Mr. Odysseus Potsi, Vice-Regional Governor of Epirus with responsibility for Culture, Youth, Education and Lifelong Learning, Mr. Arian Korkuti, Secretary General of the Argyrokastro Region, and Mr. Georgios Theocharis, General Manager of Piraeus SA.
The following contributions were presented at the Final Event:
- Brief presentation of the i - Thea project, by Mr. Aristotle Stangikas, executive of IPEIROS S.A.
- Project i - Thea, the final review, by Mrs. Georgia Kitsaki, executive of IPEIROS S.A.
- The ancient theatres of Epirus as elements of a modern cultural landscape, by Mr. Angelos Papageorgiou, Mr. Nikolaos Patsavos and Mr. Georgios Smyris from the University of Ioannina
- Presentation of the i - Thea project on the part of the Argyroplasty Region, by Mr. Arian Korkuti, Secretary General of the Argyroplasty Region
- i - Thea: Results, Challenges and Lessons Learned, by Ms Matilda Andoni, from the RCDC (Regional Centre for Development and Cooperation). Tirana - Albania
- The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and their contribution to sustainable development, by Ms Marianthi Anastasiadou, Head of International Relations Department - Ministry of Culture and Sports - Directorate for International Relations and European Union
The presentations were followed by an open discussion between the presenters and the participants.
